ABOUT THE APARTMENT AND THE PHOTOS. For most of the year this property serves as the owners’ Chicago residence. As such it is furnished and maintained in the manner of a private residence rather than as an investment or rental property. Over the course of the summer of 2019 the owners are redecorating and repurposing some of the rooms.

GROCERIES. Local grocery stores include Trader Joe’s on Diversey, Marianos and Walmart on Broadway, and Big Apple and Target on Clark. All are within walking distance. The Whole Foods Lincoln Park market and COSTCO are both located in the Clyborn corridor, just 10 or 15 minutes by car.
RESTAURANTS. Michelin-starred North Pond Restaurant is across the street in the park, a 3 minute walk from the apartment. Other noted restaurants located within walking distance include MKF (on Diversey) and Ricardo Trattoria (Clark). We also like Angelas tacos stand (best tacos al pastor in the world), La Creperie (for steak-frites after a movie) and the Duke of Perth (proper Guinness on tap and pub food) on Clark. In addition to these there are countless other nearby restaurants and bars for all tastes.
TRANSPORTATION. There is a CTA bus stop one block north of the Marlborough at Wrightwood. Two regular and two express CTA bus routes connect to the North Side and Loop. Two other popular CTA bus routes to downtown travers Clark Street two blocks to the west of the Marlborough. There are CTA elevated train stations at Diversey and at Fullerton, both a little over half a mile to the west. Given the distance, most people find the bus routes to be the most convenient public transportation to downtown.
PARKING. Garage parking is available for rental in neighboring buildings.
OTHER LOCAL ATTRACTIONS. The immediate neighborhood is loaded with monuments, shrines, theaters, museums and architectural gems.
THE MARLBOROUGH. The 9 story brick and limestone, Georgian-style Marlborough, where our condo is located, ranks as one of the best-known classic apartment buildings in the city.
